Minesweeper

  • Implemented a minesweeper game in C# using monogame framework and recursive functions to create a polished working game.
  • Developed my own game with in C# using monogame framework that was played by other classmates at the end of the course.
  • Created custom sprites, backgrounds, maps, sound effects using photopea and audio libraries to enhance the gaming experience.

Graphic Designer (Volunteer), FOCUS Youth 2021-2022

  • Design social media posts using Photopea and Photoshop that would be posted on the FOCUS Youth social media pages.
  • Attended meetings every week to collaborate with other graphic design volunteers resulting in better posts and faster production.
  • Communicated with managers and other designers for feedback and specifications to fit with the social media page’s overall look.

Garden Center Associate, Canadian Tire August-September 2023

  • Handled customer’s heavier items and delivered to their vehicle using flatbeds or hand carried. This provided excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Learned how to operate new equipment such as lawn mower, trimmer which helped adapt to new tasks given.
  • Fixed broken lawn mower and trimmer without additional help, strengthening problem solving skills.

Story Game

  • Implemented a story game in Java using javafx, takes user command inputs, minigames (wordle, basic matching games)
  • Worked in groups using git (git push, git pull, commits)

Journeypoint web app

  • Developed a travel social media site with post creation mapped to placed pins on an interactive map, profile editing using a three-tier architectural design
  • ReactJS and HTML/CSS for frontend
  • Python’s FastAPI + SQLite, PostgreSQL, Amazon S3 and SQLAlchemy for backend
  • RESTful APIs used for the frontend to interact with via POST/GET/PATCH/DELETE requests
